| Yoga: |
Patricia
Perkins, Tropical Escapes founder and director, began practicing
yoga more then 15 years ago. With a background in Kundalini, Bikram, Ashtanga,
Vinyasa and Iyengar, classes will be tailored to fit the group's
needs and desires. Her classes typically begin with
Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) - a series of 12 postures performed
in a single, graceful flow that builds strength and increases
flexibility while generating heat in the body and preparing us for
deeping stretching and strengthening. Evening classes will typically
be more meditative and restorative.
Patricia will be joined by her brother, Jason Perkins. They began practicing together as teanagers and are thrilled to be continuing the path as teachers along side one another. Jason teaches Kundalini yoga from the 3HO tradition. He is a passionate teacher and dedicated to his own personal practice. Jason's classes will offer a balance of physical practice, breathing (pranayama), relaxation, chanting and meditation. |
