Rivers Eco-Lodge |
This small, award winning, Green Globe certified, eco lodge in set
in a lush green valley, surrounded by nature and rivers, on the
unspoiled eastern coast of Dominica. From the cottage and camping
accommodations to nature, adventure and community based eco tourism
activities as well as environmental education workshops, here you
will experience a true eco vacation.
3 Rivers is an ideal place to relax and unwind. Take in the fresh
air and awe inspiring views, watch and listen to the wildlife, stroll
the gardens then go for a dip in the cool river, all the while enjoying
the tropical tranquility. The rivers offer a great opportunity for
exploration; follow them down to the ocean or up to the mountains
- either way is an adventure in itself.
Stay in one of the comfortable cottages, the simple dormitory or
make use of the camping facilities. Solar panels and the micro hydro
system supply all the electricity. Each cottage is fully equipped
with a double or twin beds, a kitchenette, private bath with solar
hot water and has a large balcony overlooking the spacious organic
gardens. There is a communal kitchen, bathroom and full wash facilities
for campers as well as those in the dormitory.
The Dominican people are warm and friendly, and their cuisine is
as diverse as their origins. At 3 Rivers you will enjoy the local
fare while it is ensured that everything you eat is plentiful and
healthy, and most of the vegetables served come from the onsite
organic gardens.
